We have received significant amounts of national media attention for our innovative work with older people, including coverage in Saga magazine and BBC TV.  This work engages older people both as audience members and as performers and includes one off initiatives as well as a series of opportunities to engage with humour and comedy. 

 

We are developing a research model which explores older people’s memories of comedy and humour as well as opportunities to archive and preserve British comedy. 

 

Our Old Folks Telling Jokes showcase has enjoyed huge success in Leicester and Edinburgh and raises the profile of older stand up comedians (www.oldfolkstellingjokes.co.uk) and it builds on our Silver Stand Up annual competition for budding and professional stand ups over the age of 55, produced in partnership with Silver Comedy.
